GlobeWise ("the App") is developed and maintained by an independent developer. This policy describes how the App handles your data. The short version: we collect nothing.
The App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. No account creation is required. No names, email addresses, or identifiers are gathered.
The App requests camera and photo library access solely for its Live Camera, Scan, and Receipt Scan features. All image processing (including OCR text recognition) is performed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. No images or recognised text are ever transmitted to any server.
The custom translation feature in Travel Phrases uses Apple's on-device Translation framework. Translations are processed locally on your device. No text is sent to third-party servers.
The App fetches current and historical exchange rates from the Frankfurter API, an open-source service. These requests contain only currency codes (e.g., "USD", "EUR") and date ranges. No personal data, device identifiers, or location information is included in any network request.
The App contains no third-party analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, and no tracking pixels. We do not use services like Google Analytics, Firebase, Facebook SDK, or any similar tools.
The App offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade via Apple's In-App Purchase system. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. The developer does not have access to your payment information.
User preferences (such as selected currencies, theme settings, language choice, and budget data) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS storage. This data is never transmitted externally and is removed when you delete the App.
The App does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, the App is safe for use by all ages.
If this policy is updated, the effective date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
